REEFS ROUTE

Hi! Thanks for checking out my game, "Reef's Route". To play the game, please download the file "Reef's Route (Forest Level).zip". Within the bin folder is an exe file that will launch the game.

This is an updated version of the coursework I submitted for my Computer Graphics module during my MSc in Computer Games Technology. I implemented a lighting system (Daylight and Night Mode), instanced rendering of trees for the forest, time-trial gameplay, camera work using TNB frames, a realistic first person mode, GLSL shader programming, FMOD audio. It also makes use of a catmull-rom spline for it's looped and twisting race track - utilising maths in this way allows for smooth, natural bends. The game was entirely created by me using OpenGL and C++, and without a proprietary game engine. This game contains a wacky race track by a farm in the middle of the woods, among other strange things. 

If interested in viewing the code scripts, please download the Source file - the majority of code resides in the Game.cpp file, which contains descriptive comments throughout.

If interested in the development of this project, as well as a detailed look at the different aspects of the game and how they were programmed and designed, please read the Project Report, which is available to download along with the game itself. Towards the end of the document, I reflect on what I learnt as well as how I could improve the game going forward.
